officially engaged!

Ok so even though we've set a date, we've started to plan our wedding, we're in the process of buying a condo.....dave hasn't officially proposed :) until last night!! here's the story....

it all started friday morning when i received a call from the jeweler that the bands we ordered for my ring weren't the right ones that came....so i was all bummed out and bugged cause i kept thinking monday i'd have it! everyone kept asking me when i'd get it...when was dave going to ask me...etc etc. then last night, i get a call from our realtor that i needed to stop by our condo after work to sign a paper so the workers can start on our construction. i told her that wouldn't be a problem and i'd probably be there around 9pm. then i called dave and told him what i had to do and he acted all surprised like he didn't know anything about it, he played along saying well can't i just go sign it, do we both have to sign it...etc. i told him no i'll just go do it on my way home its really not a big deal......so i get to the condo and i go to the model thinking that it would be in there. i don't see any papers so i call the developer guy to see where the papers are....he doesn't answer so i left him a message...(when he checks his voicemail he'll probably be so confused) so i think well maybe it'll be in our condo, so i drive around to the back and go into our front door head straight for the kitchen and no lights will turn on! i began to smell fire, like matches or candles or whatever, and so i turn around to the stairs to see candles all up the stairway. (i'm still so clueless at this point)....and i think to myself well i guess its to keep the place smelling good? so i begin to walk up the stairs and i see rose petals all up the stairs.....the light in my head finally clicked on and began up the stairs. i followed the beautifully organized rose petals to dave at the end on his knee. (at this point i'm crying and realize what's really going on:) and you all know what happened next. dave asked me to marry him! and well i said yes! (shocker i know:)

the little trickster dave was! it was so perfect, such a surprise and so sweet. we're now official and i'm so excited!!!
