the first year of our marriage was pretty great...everyone says the first few years are the hardest and i have to say ours was awesome! we had a lot of exciting things happen, bought our condo, honeymooned in aruba, won a trip to switzerland, went on other various vacations, bought new furniture and just had a great time...
one thing i can remember about our first year of marriage is medical bills. dave coined the nick name "medi bill" early on, as every month something new came up....in less then a 6 month period dave accrued over $1000 worth of medical bills.
i was cleaning out our filing cabinet today and added up all that we had to pay in only a few short months. can you believe it? and that's all that we paid out of pocket - our insurance covered the bulk! yikes! from dave's broken arm...(do you remember that?)
oh not even a week before we due to wed, dave broke his wrist!!!!! lets just say it was an interesting honeymoon and fun for wedding pics.... :)
to his broken nose, to physical therapy, to dental issues and onto the biggest.....
$2300 nose surgery....ouch. this was the first time since i've been with dave that i felt he truly needed me. being at the hospital at 6am to wait while he had his surgery, then wait by his bedside to wake up and get out groggy mess from anesthesia. lets thank insurance for this one as well...
the next 2 years of our marriage have been promising though. not too many medical instances....cross your fingers!

Oh chica, I feel your pain, for reals. Medical bills are the worst!
you don't even know how much we pay just for me being diabetic! at least we can write some of it off on taxes. paul ferney is doing another commission project this fall and shipping the paintings out right before christmas if you want one. I love mine so much!
