a few conversations have occurred recently that i've been a part of : blogs are interesting because i believe that they can share good and are a tool to share with others their beliefs and love of the gospel. they can share struggles of divorce, trials, death etc and others can gain from those stories and come to them as a source of help and friendship. i personally love blogs that show me how to hand make things and use my talents to create fun things that i do just for a hobby.
i also feel that they can give a lot of people anxiety, or feelings that they don't measure up to those that are blogging and have this "oh so perfect life, marriage, children, house, car, clothes etc etc etc". to those that feel this way, please keep in mind that most often people only share the good and not the bad in their life. they don't want others knowing of their real life. they may use their blog as an outlet. some may use it to brag. some use it to share thoughts, feelings and fun things they have done.
remember that people love to talk about themselves. if you're not good at conversations with other people, here's how to fix it. ask them questions about them. they won't shut up.....so i think blogs sometimes can be a little self esteem boost. they are for me!
so....i'm 100% guilty of all the above.
but i move on and do as i do :) as should we all. in that i have about 4 people that read my blog....i'm not too worried about you! i know who you are. and hope that my blog is still worth it to you!
anyways, back to my first sentence. don't you just have to agree with that post she made? i just love it.
learn to laugh at yourself as i do...i know that i'm not a perfect blogger or one that can say i know what i'm doing. but for me......
my blog is what i use to remember events, trips, and things i've done. i use it to be able to look back at what has happened to my life. its my journal through pictures and few words.
i have a nice camera :) and i love it! aahhahahahaahaha

Thanks for linking my post :) I agree with you, people usually only post the good, cutesy stuff and shy away from the embarrassing, gritty, or random thoughts they feel others may not want to hear about. I tend to do the opposite from all of those things. I actually have two blogs. The Satan one is sort of my alter-ego blog. Ha ha.
