today was such an outstanding church service. i haven't been one to display my thoughts or emotions on this blog, but today i couldn't help but at least write down some thoughts. the testimonies that were born today were so deep and so raw. i'm not one to judge (too much:) but sometimes testimonies become "storymonials" and not so much about the true meaning of a testimony - but today there was no "storymonials", just real true love for christ. i felt the spirit so strong today and felt so much love for my ward members. i wish everyone could have been there today to experience what i did and to hear what i heard. but i'm sure everyone in every ward has had an experience like mine....
then in relief society a sweet member, who is our compassionate service leader, gave the lesson. she's a shy silent type in our ward - and i just was in awe listening to her and her lesson today. i shouldn't say lesson i should say her love her life her true testimony of charity and compassion for others. her words struck me so deep and brought me to actual tears. i had an out of body experience of true realization of christs love for me and for the importance of charity and compassion for others. i'm not one to be considered sweet, calm, compassionate towards others and that is something i regret and something that i'm working on a daily basis. luckily for my sweet husband who is a far better person then i - especially when it comes to loving others.
i can only hope that one day i can be known as the one who loved, who was unselfish, who cared for others, who was sweet and compassionate.
